RENAISSANCE GRAND BEACH RESORT SUSTAINS NO HURRICANE DAMAGE PRESENTS THE GREAT PUMPKIN
by VIBusiness Staff

The Renaissance Grand Beach Resort has weathered Hurricane Jose without any damage, announced General Manager John Murphy. The Resort quickly moves on to celebrate the night of ghosts and goblins. The 290-room resort is offering a local school some monstrous fun this Halloween.
The Montessori School on St. Thomas is holding their annual Halloween/Autumn Fair fundraiser on Saturday, October 30 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, to raise money for the school and to give local students some where safe and fun to celebrate Halloween.
Part of the fair involves the creation of a Pumpkin Patch, where trick-or-treaters can pose in costume next to the pumpkins and have their pictures taken for four tickets, or a dollar. Proceeds go directly to the school. This year, the funds will go towards replacing the school's water fountains.
The Renaissance Grand Beach Resort is having pumpkins shipped in for the event, and the resort's Chef, Eduard Genhart, will expertly carve the ghostly faces. The pumpkins will be put to good use. After Saturday's event at the Montessori School, the pumpkins will be brought back to the Renaissance to use as decorations for the resort's infamous Sunday Brunch.
"My first thought was 'where am I going to get pumpkins on St. Thomas," stated Holly Palm, Pumpkin Patch organizer. "The Renaissance is such a good corporate citizen, that I knew they'd come to the rescue.
