"Z'man Simchatenu - the season of our rejoicing" drew a happy group of congregants to celebrate Sukkot in the Synagogue and enjoy "pizza in the hut" at our Lilienfeld House sukkah.
Sukkot services included the consecration of the students who are entering religious school. Just as we bring the fruits of the harvest to decorate the sukkah, so,too, do we bring our children to the service of conscration, the rabbi said.
After telling a story, Rabbi Starr asked the students to repeat the Sh'ma and then covered them, and their parents, with a tallit for the blessing.
After services, everyone went to the sukkah for dinner which was, of course, pizza in the hut.
