It was a day of pride and joy for Virgin Islanders, including members of our Congregation, as the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute was dedicated on January 17.
Charlotte and Ambassador Henry Kimelman, longtime benefactors of our Synagogue as well as many other institutions in the Virgin Islands, were here for the occasion, along with son Donald, daughter Susan and other members of their family.
A bust of Charlotte was unveiled at the ceremony, held on the South Lawn of the Roy L. Schneider Hospital. A bust of the ambassador had been unveiled the night before at the Henry L. Kimelman Library at Antilles School.
