The general public is invited to attend the Women's Business Center Orientation Conference on August 18, 1999, at Gertrude's Restaurant. The conference begins at 9 am (registration begins at 8 am) and concludes at 3 pm.
     
     The conference will provide participants with details of this important resource center that is focused on empowering women in the Virgin Islands through long-term business training, counseling, mentoring, and networking opportunities. Speakers will include Delegate Christensen and SBA representatives with additional information provided by Women's Business Center staff. Break-out group discussions will focus on financing options, welfare reform, technology, and taxes as they all relate to entrepreneurship and the small business.
     
     The conference does require a $10 registration fee that includes lunch.
     
     The Women's Business Center's goal is to empower and inspire women to become financially independent through the development of business skills and professional relationships. Come learn all about it and begin to think out of the box!
