Museo de las Americas
Orígenes, historia y misión del Museo
El Museo de las Américas es una institución sin fines de lucro, gobernada por una junta de Síndicos. Se inauguró en octubre de 1992 como una iniciativa de la Comisión Puertorriqueña para la Conmemoración del Quinto Centenario del Descubrimiento de América y Puerto Rico. Se sostiene con ayuda que le ofrece la Asamblea Legislativa, la empresa privada y los Amigos del Museo. Su principal propósito es ofrecer, a través de exposiciones permanentes y temporeras, una visión sinóptica de la historia y cultura de las Américas desde la era pre-colombina hasta nuestros días. Destacados artistas de América Latina, Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico han expuesto su obra en nuestras salas.

How it works?
Our devices are supported by GPS technology they will provide you with simple instructions to guide you through 18 different spots in Old San Juan. Once you reach the spots the device will deliver (via audio/video) and in a storyteller fashion way, historical information about the spots being seeing. You don't have to do anything! Just enjoy your journey with your pal companion.

Tour ends near the shops at Cristo Street.
