The Greenhouse coordinator is David Yates. David is owner of Laurels Nursery in Elisabethton and serves on the ETSU Arboretum Board of Advisors,East TN Nursery Association Board of Directors, and The Carter County Agriculture Commitee. David went through Walters State Production Horticulture Program and will graduate from ETSU in 2004 with a biology degree. David has been a TN certified Nursery Professional since 1987 and has managed several retail and wholesale nurseries since 1086.
      The new greenhouse began operation in march 2003 and members grew 200 hanging baskets and 400 trays of annuals. The members will be growing mums, annuals, ferns, perenials, vegetables, and hanging baskets for sale in 2004. The material sold goes to offset the expense of the program.
