The Crumley House

     A brief description of work performed at The Crumley House:
     The Crumley House specializes in rehabilitation of brain injured survivors. The mission of the Crumley House is to assist brain injured survivors in developing independence, a positive self-image, and vocational skills through participation in social, intellectual and (pre) vocational activities that involve clients, staff, and families.
     The Crumley House opened its doors in June of 1992. We have provided services to hundreds of survivors and have had 73 placements in our vocational training program in community employment, with no one being placed in sheltered workshops. Of the brain injured survivors placed, most are still employed.
     
     The Crumley House was developed as a pilot program for the State of Tennessee. The Crumley House was designed as a day treatment rehabilitation program which includes vocational training, community re-entry, social and recreation activities for brain injured survivors.
