Items from the 2002 auction
|
When the international art world takes notice of an auction, there can be no question as to the quality and variety of its array. The Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas has spun its annual fundraising Antiques, Art and Collectibles Auction into a thrilling opportunity for lovers of fine art and antiques.
Since December 1999, the Auction has helped the Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas to keep the doors of the Synagogue open to residents and visitors. Within the Western Hemisphere, the Congregation (at 206 years in existence) is 2nd only to Curacao in terms of longevity. The National Historic Landmark's restored structure boasts 169 years of serving the communities of the Virgin Islands.
The auction is held each February; visit the official website, which will is constantly updated, to review the list of offerings.
Bookmark the official Auction website to view the list of entries. It's hard to imagine anyone who wouldn't prefer to be in the beautiful Virgin Islands for this gathering, but if you simply cannot make it, contact the Hebrew Congregation to place a proxy bid: (340) 774-4312 or send email to hebrewcong@islands.vi.
