MIX IT UP AT INTERNATIONAL RUGBY TOURNEY IN TRINIDAD

     Rugby converged on Trinidad for the 14th annual Carib Beer Rugby 7s Tournament any which way they could. A collection of men's and women's Rugby combat was the high point of a weekend of socializing and heated competition on the field.
     Among the teams already attending: CRUM, erida, UCAB (Venezuela), Rugby Ecosse, Border Reivers (Scotland), Bank of Ireland (Ireland), Aescalupians, Anti-Assassins, Queens Head Heathens (England), Atlantis, New Orleans (U.S.A.), Barbadians (Bermuda), B.V.I. (Virgin Islands), BRUC (Guadeloupe), Amazona Guildingii (St. Vincent), and B.D.F. (Barbados). Women's teams were hosted by CRUM, UCAB, New Orleans, Atlantis and St. Vincent.
     The main referee was Derek Bevan, with assistance throughout the weekend from Hugh Banfield (Wales), and Patrick Colan-O'Leary (Ireland), with able assistance from a rep from Scotland. The event were held under the auspices of the Caribbean Rugby Union, which includes members Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, French Guyana, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Jamaica, Martinique, St. Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks and Caicos, US Virgin Islands, and Venezuela.
